Maintenance of the PVC windows and doors

You have bought high quality hardware windows and doors. As any other elements in construction, windows and doors are subject to normal wear. Light functioning and lifetime mostly depend on the nature of their maintenance. The maintenance kit is something every owner must have in order to maintain the carpentry’s profile, gasket of hardware of easily, so that the service engineer wouldn’t have to come. The kit contains:

Solution for cleaning dirty or scratched carpentry;
Paste for gasket maintenance;
Oil for hardware maintenance;
felt for cleaning the carpentry;

The maintenance of the PVC profiles used in the construction of the acquired carpentry are easy to maintain:

their cleaning can be done by common detergents;
the use of objects that could scratch the profiles is not recommended.

The carpentry maintenance: At least once a month, the following operations must be completed:

all the mobile parts and closing points are lubricated and their functioning is reviewed;
handle catching screws are fastened.

Indications for maintenance and use:

in case of redecoration works, it is recommended their protection so to prevent the entrance of some new bodies which could make the hardware work much harder (use a protection sheet);
to clean the gaskets do not use aggressive substances;
avoid hanging objects on the leaves;
do not force opening the leaves more than the assembly position allows;
do not insert objects between the frame and the leaves;
in case of a tilt window, handling the handle in the position of a normal opening before sticking the leaf to the frame is forbidden;
windows normally opened must be fixed or ensured.
